Approximately three-quarters of Wiltshire is designated as an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’, attracting tourists, residents, employees and employers to the region’s superb quality of life.

Wiltshire is home to two World Heritage Sites (Stonehenge and Avebury), as well as market towns and quintessential English hamlets such as Lacock and Castle Combe, and an outstanding collection of stately homes and gardens, and tea rooms, pubs and restaurants. Main attractions include Stourhead and Longleat Safari and Adventure Park.

With almost half of the county designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty there are more than 8,200 paths for walkers and cyclists. Wiltshire is also proud of its cultural heritage – the county hosts more than 20 museums, a packed calendar of festivals and events, and various theatres and music centres.

Wiltshire is well served by highly performing nurseries and primary and secondary schools. Colleges such as Marlborough and Wiltshire College offer courses such as administration, sciences, management, art and design, media production and health.

Wiltshire also offers secondary schools with specialist status, including business and enterprise, science, sports, languages, mathematics and computing.
