Plans have been lodged for further development that will provide new facilities at the Hawke Ridge Business Park near Westbury.
Developer HPH, which is behind the 35-acre scheme, has submitted an application to Wiltshire Council for a number of retail and food outlets.
The roadside scheme is located to the front of the park and will include a small convenience store, a drive-through, three retail units and associated parking.
HPH has previously invested £2m in ground works, including a new roundabout, access roads, connection to mains services, landscaping, bus shelters and new signage.
A detailed planning application for four business units measuring a total of 67,500 sq ft was recently approved by Wiltshire Council.
Chris Wordsworth, development director at HPH, said: “Very early on in the planning process we spoke to firms in the Westbury area and asked them about existing amenities. The response we received was very clear that there was a lack of local facilities.
“We believe this small roadside scheme will support the local workforces as well as the new occupiers at Hawke Ridge Business Park.
“We have spent many months in discussions with potential occupiers, including a leading fast-food chain and a national convenience store, who have expressed a strong interest in the site.”
