Builders’ merchant Travis Perkins is set to open a new 10,000 sq ft facility at Solstice Park in Amesbury, Wiltshire.
The company will build a unit on the section of the 160-acre park known as EOS, where more development is currently in the pipeline.
NRG Developments has also recently acquired 1.3 acres to speculatively develop 36 units ranging from 1,500 sq ft to 3,000 sq ft, subject to planning.
David Fahie, development director at Amesbury Property Company, which has developed Solstice Park, said: “This is a major coup for the town and will see the first trade scheme in the area – which will benefit from the superb transport links.
“With so much development happening around Amesbury – both new housing and the massive expansion of the Army Garrisons – Travis Perkins has stolen a march on the competition by becoming the first full service builders merchant in the area.”
Philip Holford, from joint selling agents Myddelton and Major, added: “With Travis Perkins on the site other trade counter operators are sure to follow, especially with the new development of business units that will be available.”
Solstice Park is a 160-acre business park situated alongside the A303 dual carriageway. It is currently home to businesses including Home Bargains, Muller Wiseman and Tintometer.
