With £150,000 to be spread out as investments of up to £25,000, the fund aims to improve cross-sector collaboration and innovations in the South West, the Midlands and the North.
The programme is funded by the Regional Growth Fund and managed by Creative England in partnership with Onlincolnshire, a Lincolnshire County Council-led project.
Companies applying for cash are being asked to develop new digital services which take advantage of the broadband infrastructure and help businesses.
“Ideas for applications could include anything from apps that measure your carbon footprint to industry specific auction websites or intelligent tourism apps,” Jim Farmery, director of business development at Creative England, said.
“The options really are limitless and we look forward to seeing the innovations that local businesses come up with.”
The deadline for expressions of interest is 29 June 2014.
