The IT services developer, which is headquartered at Chippenham in Wiltshire, announced that healthy order intake in the final quarter of the 2013 calendar year meant the company entered the new year with a solid opening order book and an encouraging pipeline of new business opportunities, while the balance sheet remained strong.
SCISYS added that its Enterprise Solutions & Defence division secured several new contract wins in the fourth quarter and its Space division saw an improvement in order intake towards the year-end.
However, the Media & Broadcast division’s order intake was hit by the deferral of procurement by new and existing customers.
The company told investors: “The board believes that SCISYS can deliver further profitable progress in 2014. Acquisition opportunities will continue to be monitored by the board during the year and will be pursued where strategically appropriate.”
