The Chippenham-based business is to manage B&Q’s one million sq ft showroom fulfilment centre in Burton on Trent in the Midlands, which houses the company’s kitchen, bathroom and bedroom ranges.
Wincanton said it is estimated that around nine million cases of merchandise will be handled a year.
The business is also planning all transport routes for B&Q, fulfilling around 500,000 customer orders for its supply chain requirements across the country.
Eric Born, Wincanton chief executive said: “We are delighted to be extending our long-term relationship with B&Q, which further demonstrates our ability to support the retail sector and evolve our proposition to suit the needs of modern retailing.
“As the high street continues to evolve, embracing mobile commerce to ‘click and collect’ ordering, we will continue to ensure that Wincanton is at the forefront, innovating and developing our proposition to meet the exacting demands of our customer base.”
Wincanton said this builds on two contract wins with B&Q earlier this year.
