The company is to recruit a total of 100 trainees, up from its regular annual intake of 25.
The FTSE 250 company’s existing four-year training programme boasts a 95pc success rate, above the national average of 75pc.
The scheme, which has been running since 1969, is focused on QinetiQ’s aeronautical and weapons divisions, and is based at MoD Boscombe Down in Wiltshire and other ranges.
The additional 75 trainees will go to different parts of the business, focusing on IT, cyber security, maritime and general management.
Some trainees will be based at its headquarters in Farnborough in Hampshire and others in Malvern, Worcestershire.
