FMW Recycling wins top Breakthrough UK award

Breakthrough UK presented their 5th National Independent Living awards 2012 and winners were announced on December 3, the International Day of Disabled People.
 

Royal Wootton Bassett’s FMW Recycling receive this award which recognises companies that can demonstrate excellence in recruitment, retention or progression of disabled people.
 

FMW Recycling was nominated by SEQOL’s Ann King who recognises FMW’s excellence in removing barriers to employment which is evident in their policies, procedures and practices.

FMW Recycling Managing Director Helena Dunne said: “There has been so much stigma behind the recruitment of disabled people; however, I can honestly say we have benefited enormously with our recruitment choices through SEQOL’S supported employment service, energy2work. Our people are the ambassadors for the company.”


FMW Recycling specialises in the dismantling and destruction of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment and has a variety of large multi national companies and SME’s as part of their customer base.


Stewart Murphy, FMW Recycling Operations Manager said: “The staff here has always proved to be a great asset in this type of work. High levels of commitment and concentration are consistently required I am delighted that we have been recognised with this Award.”
